soundvsystem started as a name in a phone note. What began as an indie music blog in 2022 has flourised into a record label. Our mission as soundvsystem records remains the same: to introduce new sounds to an audience with an appetite for discovery. We focus on alternative and indie subgenres, including indie rock, post-punk, shoegaze, dream pop, art pop and more.

In 2025 we released our first compilation daylight x darknight, a 12-song release that captures the cohesive and unpredictable spirit of the indie music scene. It features indie rock, art pop, shoegaze and post-punk from US and international independent artists including Phantom Wave, Exit Moon, SNAKEY DUBLAY, The Photocopies, Pin-Up Sisters and navel grazr. Upon its release, the compilation made it to the Top 10 of the NACC Handcrafted Charts.
