All Roads Lead to Glimmer

Last month New York grungegazers Glimmer released their debut album Get Weak. The four piece is Jeff Moore (vocals/guitar), Jaye Moore (drums), Johnny Nicholls (guitar), and Kevin Dobbins (bass). The album, recorded at Brooklyn’s Studio G by Jeff Berner, is a mashup of alternative rock, grunge and shoegaze. It’s got that PumpkinsSiamese Dream crunch (“Sorrow Again”), the heavy tone of early Swervedriver (“Been Down”) and goddamn Jeff Moore can write a hook.

“We put everything we had into this record,” the band shared during its release. “There were moments of pure joy and sadness during the process, but it was well worth it, and we’re stoked for you to hear.”

To promote Get Weak, the band went on tour hitting Nashville, Philadelphia, Chicago and other cities in the Northeast and Midwest. They shared the stage with bands including Stalled, Threaded, King In Yellow and Cigarettes For Breakfast. Glimmer snapped some photos for us along the way. Check those out below!
