soundvsystem - daylight x darknight
You didn’t think we wouldn't do this, did ya? :p This is our first release as soundvsystem records. It’s got 12 tracks from indie artists Iceblynk, navel grazr, GLICH3, Lesbiana, SNAKEY DUBLAY and more. We’ve got songs that are exclusive to the compilation, meaning you won’t find them anywhere else. It’s available on a Limited Edition Black Marble cassette. They came in last week and we promise the cassette looks pretty sick! FYI: If you’re in NYC and want a tape but don’t want to pay for shipping, just hit reply on this email to let us know.

Glimmer - Get Weak
We usually pick releases that came out the previous month. This turned out to be a bad decision here. All of Glimmer’s debut album Get Weak vinyl and cassettes are currently sold out. Clearly it rips. You can still pick up the digital album. Maybe buy a t-shirt or pick up a cassette of their singles.

New Romantics - NO LIFE
This one’s a pre-order of New Romantics’ upcoming album NO LIFE. We premiered the first single “Low Stakes” last month. From Gezellig Records: The influence of Depeche Mode runs deep, but it’s filtered through a harder, more industrial lens. Pick it up on “Loveless” Pink Vinyl. This one’s out on 12/13.

Short Porch - Hot & Ready
Not kidding when I say this has been in constant rotation. If you watched our Objects series with Short Porch, you’ll know just how much of an NYC album this is. It really captures the energy and anxiety of the city.
Frida Kill - City Gurl
Brooklyn punk band Frida Kill was born out of a need to connect. "I once felt like if I sang in a punk band no one would listen to me, no one would book us and no one would care," says band member Maria Lina. “But I realized the music wasn't only for me, but for anyone who has been silenced and who has felt alone like I once did. You are certainly not alone in this world.” Their new album is out via Get Better Records and Insecurity Hits.
Jon Franz - Investors
Jon Franz, one half of synth punk project Polevaulter, has released the instrumental album Investors. Expect dark cinematic beats. Sounds like getting chased in an underground tunnel by a three-eyed demon.
