Get to know Nympho

It’s fast and it’s furious. We’re not referring to the film franchise starring Vin Diesel. We’re talking about Philadelphia’s punk band Nympho and their debut EP Honk If You’re Horny.
Nympho blasts through six songs in nine minutes, each one with its own lyrical nuggets. "When I said you were garbage, I meant you were garbage," band member Hannah Hamilton screams into the void on the opening song “Dumb Bitch Delivery.” On “Bone Daddy” the band flirts with jarring speed and headbanging grooves made just for the moshpit.
Check out our brief—yet very entertaining — profile on Nympho below and pick up the cassette, out now via Get Better Records!
What’s Nympho’s origin story?
Nympho: It’s more of an orgy story… it was kinda cool but nobody came. We ended up writing “Tammy Curry’s Ghost” after.
How would each of you describe the band’s sound?
Hanna: Horny
Jody: Bad
Rikki: Scrappy
David: Good
Garrett: Drums
What was the band’s creative process like for this first EP?
Nympho: We recorded everything quickly and digitally on Easter Sunday after David got off work, then we spent nine months making it sound shittier.
Two truths and a lie about Nympho.
Rikki: It was not my ass on the cover.
Hanna: It was not my ass on the cover.
David: It was my ass on the cover.
What’s the story behind the opening track “Dumb Bitch Delivery”?
Hanna: It’s just all my favorite Real Housewives quotes smushed together into a song.
Do you have any musical pet peeves?
Nympho: No, we love music.
Anything else you want people to know about Honk If You're Horny?
Nympho: It’s okay to honk even if you aren’t horny.
