soudvsystem x the FVL.
“Ritual, memory, and digital space” intersect on Land of Siesta 午睡島, the debut album from Taiwanese experimental duo the FVL. The record writes a new story for the long-vanished Favorlang people through ambient and psychedelic music. To mark its release, the duo curated fifteen tracks that shaped their sound.
From kalimba meditations (Asa Tone’s “To Tell A Picture”), submerged leftfield ambience (Salamanda’s “Puddle Underwater”), and pentatonic electronics (The Ghostwriters’ Rococo Rondo). Like the album itself, the playlist moves slowly and deliberately, letting something ancient rise to the surface.
