Analog Dream - "The Shape of Us"
Today we released the latest EP by San Francisco’s indie rock/shoegaze band Analog Dream. On the title track, they share, “This song is really about trying to understand how and why things changed with people who once meant so much to you. Magic Wands - Diamond Rain
LA duo Magic Wands made their new video, “Using old cameras, lights and mirrors to create textures and effects that give it a dreamlike feeling,” Make of the song “Diamond Rain,” what you will, the band says. “The song doesn’t have one fixed meaning. To us, it’s about moving toward the light, finding beauty after darkness and allowing people to discover their own meaning within it.”
Pinksqueeze - Sweet Tooth
“‘It can be easier to be bitter, but I want to stay sweet’ acknowledges how difficult but important it can be to stay soft through hard times in our world and in our life,” Chicago power pop band Pinksqueeze says about their new song “Sweet Tooth.” The song is taken from their upcoming album We Can Have It Out, which will be released on 10/23.
Girl Tones - Pretty Face
Indie rock duo Girl Tones has just announced their upcoming album Precious. “So many people will hide who they are just to be accepted,” the band’s drummer Laila sighs. “Why try to fit in? What does it really add up to?” This is the feeling summed on their new single “Pretty Face.” Singer and guitarist Kenzie says, “We tracked this one later in the process, It’s heavy, and it puts a stamp on things. To me, it makes a declaration, ‘Listen, we’re not here to play.’”
Flywheel - CryBaby
Sampled drums, a repeating and mesmerizing bass note and a descending synth arpeggio kick off “CryBaby.” the latest single by Irish act Flywheel. The track’s instrumentation leans heavily into an experimental art-rock and shoegaze atmosphere. It follows “Stop Looking At Her,” which we’ve also featured, both songs off Flywheel’s upcoming EP.
