Cola - Hedgesitting

Few bands are able to do what Cola does. The Montreal trio has announced their upcoming self-titled album Cost of Living Arrangement. Their first single “Hedgesitting,” signals a new direction, pushing the trio outside of their minimalist zone. The album can be pre-ordered now.

Ringing - want2want

Ringing, the Brooklyn project led by Colton Walker, has shared their latest single “WANT2WANT.” As Walker explains, “This song is about the frustration of longing for something better when you feel stuck in a pattern. It’s easy to slip into apathy, even when you know it’s holding you back. Ultimately, though, it’s about the moment of clarity where you make a decision to do something about it.” Ringing will release their debut album Another Cycle in the Cosmic Wash on 3/20.

Pearl - Act Like Sisters

"'Act Like Sisters’ is the epitome of any horror movie in which the lead actress is pushed to her limits, combusting into a ‘Carrie’ like fury after being manipulated one too many times," says Pearl vocalist Sienna Cureton-Mahoney. The latest single from their upcoming album Love and Grief, we’re one step closer to getting the Baltimore punk band’s album, which drops on 4/20 via 20/20 Records.

Twin Mill - Stuck

German grunge band Twin Mill just surprise-dropped their EP Common Grounds. "‘Stuck’ describes the state of being emotionally trapped with no visible way out," says vocalist and guitarist Cédric Roser. "It’s about broken trust, inner emptiness, and thoughts that constantly spiral back to the same dark point." The track features Sabrina Chaparro DEFIANCE HC on guest vocals.

Glixen - Unwind

Phoenix shoegazers Glixen will be kicking off their US co-headlining tour with Trauma Ray in April. In advance of the tour, they’ve released a new single. “‘Unwind’ is about that feeling of relief when someone comes back to you after they’ve left,” band member Aislinn Ritchie explains. “It’s human nature to crave that push and pull—a drug weaned off. Blindingly hard to say no, we succumb to willful ignorance. We recorded this song in Los Angeles with Sonny Diperri producing, and it’s the first song we incorporated different instrumental elements, and it's a glimpse into our evolution.” Find the band on Instagram for dates.
