Tory Silver - Microwave
Pittsburgh-based indie-rock artist Tory Silver is releasing a new album titled In Through the Front with Lasers. The single “microwave” is described by the label michi tapes as a “classic wake up before the butt-crack of dawn, almost too sleepy and dazzled in the twilight enough to forget your silly grocery job under crapitalism type anthem.” The album is out 5/29.
Gondos - Stop Calling Me
Garage rock band Gondos explore the frustrations of an office job, specifically as a telemarketer on “Stop Calling Me.” The band’s vocalist Aidan Case makes his case and he’s had enough. This is Gondos’ first release from recent recording sessions, which were recorded live to ½ tape by lead guitarist Ben Windheim (The Macks). Gondos is also drummer Grant Anderson and new bassist Elisabeth Zarnick.
OGRE - Hair
Portland post-punk/noise rock act OGRE have entered a new chapter on their new single “Hair.” It’s the first time band member Grace appears as a vocalist. “It’s about the biological relevance of hair growing on heads and crotches—it kind of came out gross,” Grace explains. The single is out now via CorpoRAT Records.
Young Lovers - Ross
Los Angeles post-rock / shoegaze act Young Lovers has announced their new album The Circle’s End. The first single “Ross,” leans into a more experimental space. It was written after a close call with death on a freeway and reaches for the questions floating in its aftermath. Watch the Devonte Johnson-directed video now.
Book/Spirit - Hammock
Fresh after signing to Mint 400, Brooklyn indie rock project Book/Spirit has unveiled their new single “Hammock.” On Instagram, the band shared that while writing, “we stumbled into a sound we hadn’t really heard ourselves make before.” This one’s got jangle pop guitars, a fuzz-heavy guitar solo and an earworm chorus.

We’re back with music from Book/Spirit, Gondos, Tory Silver, Young Lovers and OGRE.
