Buckets - Wishing

LA indie rock act Buckets recently released their album Horse To Water. Radio Free Alice - Kick in the Shins

Sometimes when two separate ideas come together, it works. That’s the case for Australian new wave/post-punk band and their new single. “‘Kick in the Shins’ is a fusion of two songs that never felt all the way complete,” the band shares. “We loved the verse of one of them and the chorus of the other, and it worked when we combined the two. We wanted to create a song you could jump around to. At its core, it explores the feeling of being confused by the culture around you, and the isolation that often comes with that confusion.”

Frankie Rose - Manifest

“Manifest” is the first single from Frankie Rose upcoming project Hila. The self-produced record slowly spirals into the ether, its beats hypnotize and synths haunt, merging electronic and goth rock soundwaves. Hila is out 9/18 via Born Losers Records.

Swapmeet - Bonny

Australia’s Swapmeet just dropped their album Mount Zero. As the band shares, they took quite the opposite approach to production. "We like to put on the maximalist hat for a bit, have fun, and then put on the minimalist hat and take away everything that's too much,” explains bandmember Jack Medlyn.

Cherry I - Naked Balloons

London art rock project Cherry I just dropped their debut EP Yes, but I could never tell a lie. Across the four songs, Cherry takes on themes like war and displacement (“The Arsonist”), and choosing to be an independent artist (“Mistake”). Cherry I carefully crafts an EP that cements them as a band to watch.
