Powerplant - Crashing Cars
Synth punk project Powerplant, founded by London-based Theo Zhykharyev, has dropped a surprise 7”. On the A-Side “Crashing Cars,” Zhykharyev confesses “I wanted love / Found my way to hell / At the depth of the wishing well.” You can watch the self-directed video above.
Keep - Hurt A Fly
RVA shoegazers Keep have released a new single from their upcoming album Almost Static. On “Hurt A Fly” the band says, “I guess in summation, the song is about learning to give yourself grace every so often.” Keep will support indie rock band Turnover and pop-punk band The Starting Line on their tours this summer.
Nympho - Looney Tune
New Philly punk band Nympho has released the first and ferocious single “Looney Tune” off their upcoming EP Honk If You're Horny. The five-piece band features members of Empath and Perfect Pussy, The band’s debut EP will be released on May 30 via Get Better Records.
Muscle - Carpenter
Baltimore punk band Muscle has released their new single “Carpenter.” Vocalist Madison Coan brings the grit and raw energy, while bassist Quentin Gibeau and drummer Adam Farkas provide the backbone.
King In Yellow - Dream Weapon
Kingston, NY post-punk band King In Yellow has announced a new EP titled ALL IS LONELINESS. On the first single “Dream Weapon,” the band says, “We worked out a hybrid style of half live tracking mixed with a more modern recording–we wanted to preserve the natural energy of the song.” King In Yellow will embark on a midwest tour in July.
