Daisychain - Rivers
Chicago psych rock trio Daisychain has dropped another single off of their upcoming album. "'Rivers' embodies the unspoken words and dynamics between two people,” says band member Sophia Williams. It describes the static energy that you feel when you say one thing, but the words you really want to say hang in the air around you." The album All In A Name, produced by Sylvia Massy (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tool, Prince), is out June 27 and is available for pre-order now.
Sloe Noon - Strange A.M.
German-based Sloe Noon sits between the sounds of Krautrock and British alt-rock. Her latest single “Strange A.M.” slowly builds from acoustic grace to grunge. “You know that strange space in the quietest hours of the night where heartbreak and liberation co-exist? — I call that space “Strange A.M.“ Sloe Noon’s latest EP All Feelings, No Technique is out now.
Taleen Kali - Aepex
We’ve been warned! “Welcome to AEPEX: the new era of Taleen Kali” read the headlines. In between supporting Ringo Deathstarr on tour, the LA-based project Taleen Kali released the new single “Aepex,” taking us “Higher than high.” The track can be purchased on a 7-inch clear lathe cut vinyl, with the unreleased B-side “Crossed” on Bandcamp. Taleen Kali hits San Francisco’s Bottom of the Hill on 6/7 and LA’s The Echo on 6/8. Tickets are on sale now.
Coworkers - Hibernate
New Orleans post-punk band Coworkers has released their new EP Awake in Non-Dreams. On the opening track, the band shares, “‘Hibernate’ is all about paranoia and self reflection. It’s about diving deep into the caves of your psyche and coming out better than when you walked in.” Don’t sleep on Coworkers!
Michael Sanders - Hibernate
On his second album fuzzer, Michael Sanders intended to make stage-ready music. “In creating this record, I set out to make something that would translate well live,” he says. The 60’s rock inspired songs were crafted to pay tribute to the city of Austin. “I tried to use more restraint than I have in the past. This is my Austin album. Through these songs, I am sonically reflecting back the parts of Austin and its music scene that I see in myself.” fuzzer is for fans of catchy melodies, earworms and crunchy guitar riffs.
