Pixel Grip - Reason To Stay

Electronic trio Pixel Grip recently announced their third full-length album Percepticide: The Death of Reality. On the latest single “Reason To Stay” vocalist RIta Lukea shares, “The focus track of the album embodies aggression. With a pounding, abrasive bassline and a chorus that’s shouted at you: ‘What's the point of giving less than 100%? You pushed me to the limit what the fuck you expect?’” You can preorder the album on vinyl directly from the band here.

Lézard - Pop Pop Pop Pop Pop Pop Pop Stop

Belgian dance punk band Lézard has unleashed their new single “Pop Pop Pop Pop Pop Pop Pop Stop.” The track slowly builds up, vocalist Myrthe Asta accompanied by a single synth, before both intensify at the first chorus. The five-piece band is Neil Claes (vocals, guitar) Myrthe Asta (vocals) Viktor De Greef (synths, guitar) Andreas Duchi (bass) and Roel Delplancke (drums). You can watch the Neil Claes directed video above.

Hunx and His Punx - Alone In Hollywood On Acid

California punk band Hunx and His Punx has announced their new album Walk Out On This World. After years of pushing the album due to loss, grief and the LA fires, the trio is back with the first single “Alone In Hollywood On Acid.” To promote the record–out 8/22 via Get Better Records–the band will be heading out on tour this fall. Follow the band on Instagram for dates and pre-order the album on Bandcamp.

Moontype - Starry Eyed

The Chicago indie band Moontype is getting ready to release their sophomore effort I Let The Wind Push Down On Me. On their shoegaze-leaning single “Starry Eyed,” bassist/vocalist Margaret McCarthy shares, “This song is about coming to terms with how much I relied on alcohol to regulate my emotions. Pick your poison, however you want to escape. It’s a habit that’s hard to break, a door that keeps opening.” According to McCarthy, experimentation led to what the band felt was appropriate. “Took some time for us to figure this one out. We tried a bunch of different speeds and vibes out, but slow and wavy felt right in the end.” I Let The Wind Push Down On Me is out Friday, via Orindal Records.

Royal Blush - Go

New Jersey alt/indie rock band Royal Blush just dropped their debut EP. “A Ways Away is a mosaic of mental overload,” the band says. “Deafening anger, quiet hope, collective resistance and unrelenting uncertainty. Above all, this EP is about embracing shameless vulnerability, so we can shed the fear of being alone. We’re a ways away, but in this together.” The opening track “Go” is a grunge-forward tune. Royal Blush calls the song “A delivery of the explosive end to an abusive chapter, ‘Go’ is the heavy note that sends our debut EP off swinging as track #1 and it’s out now!“
