5 Songs from The Faves

We were on a shoegaze bender this week. Check out our picks from School of Design, atmos bloom, Diary, Monde Ray and Dimber.

You can see what else we’ve been listening to on our Apple playlist ‘the faves’!

Diary - Keep Comin’ Up

New York’s Diary has announced their debut album Spiral Bound. On the first single “Keep Comin’ Up,” the band taps into trippy textures, blending psychedelia and dream pop. The accompanying video is a nod to Warhol’s art studio Silver Factory. Spiral Bound will be released on 9/4 via Kanine Records.

Monde Ray - Paragraph

Opening with a dizzying synth line, “What If” captures the endless possibility of diving head first into the unknown. Monde Ray is the solo project of French artist Manon Guiol. On her debut album, Attraction, Monde Ray looks toward the light. With its darkwave and synth pop tones, this one’s for fans of Boy Harsher and Chromatics.

School of Design - After the Warmth

Like a feeling that remains, School of Design’s “After the Warmth” is captivating and memorable. The Atlanta shoegaze act formed in 2025, after years of friendship. School of Design is a culmination of 60s psychedelic rock, 80s pop and modern avant-garde composition. Easily one of the best debut singles of the year.

Dimber - Not In Love

LA’s Dimber has gone into a “more somber, more dynamic, and dancier territory” on their new single “Not in Love.” The guitar pop band channels Future Islands and Tegan and Sara’s The Con, as they explore the cycles of desire and remorse. Check out the video by M. Walsh!

atmos bloom - Closer

Sometimes we lose a part of our past self. On their new single “Closer,” London duo atmos bloom, the band speaks to that. "‘Closer’ explores self-love and finding peace with yourself and your inner child, whilst also missing past versions of you that no longer remain." The dream pop act has announced their new album Everythingness, which is out July 24th on Spirit Goth Records.
