Las Cruxes - Déjà vu

Psych rock act Las Cruxes recently announced their third and self-titled album. On the first single “Déjà vu”, frontman Yayo Trujillo shares, “Best way to troll someone is to write a sarcastic song about them." Las Cruxes is out April 24, on Conor Oberst’s Million Stars label.

Micah and the Mirrors - Hungry Hungry Heart

Micah Morris, former frontman of Denver rock act Fast Eddy, has dropped another single from his latest solo project Micah and the Mirrors. Clocking in at under 3 minutes, “Hungry Hungry Heart” is melodic rock at its best; a guitar solo, a memorable chorus, and backed by a driving force rhythm. Micah and the Mirrors is out 5/1 via Spaghetty Town Records and Beluga Records.

beaming - Say Goodbye

"In such dark and uncertain times, making music was sometimes the only thing that made sense," says beaming, the duo of Derek Ted and Braden Lawrence. The project will release their debut album horseshoe on 4/17. "'Horseshoe'”, the band shares, “reflects the spirit of this album: moving through the pain, holding onto hope, and leaving room for a little luck and magic along the way.”

Swirls - Leave It To Me

French slacker punk band Swirls keeps it together on “Leave It To Me,” off their upcoming album Surge. "'Leave It To Me' is about holding it together for someone else when you’re already struggling to stand on your own,” the band says. “It’s the soundtrack for those who take everything on their shoulders, grit their teeth, and end up laughing when everything goes wrong.” Surge is out 3/6 via Howlin' Banana and À Tant Rêver du Roi.

Hysteria - Angela

“Angela / I hope you have a bad year” sings Dakota Cosgrove (Wisp). The LA-based emo act Hysteria, led by Cosgrove, is quickly becoming a band to watch. On their second single “Angela”, she shares, “Every moment is both an ascension and a decline, leaving you face down on the ground. Angela is the year of your life you want to erase, a desperate cry to be loved, that sick desire to be broken and put back together. Angela is the girl who you let destroy you.” Hysteria plays Queens venue Trans-Pecos on 2/21.
